Posted: Mar 7, 2026 Post Subject: Tree trunk at beginning of C-Turn rapid

The last big rains wedged a tree trunk in rock at entrance of C-turn rapid. When Cloverdale cfs is above 900 it was advantageous to enter rapid at right of small island. Now the tree makes that hazardous. Until that tree moves out it's highly recommended to go to left of little island, see image of before & after.

Image taken yesterday with Cloverdale usgs gauge at 115 cfs. I estimate that the log will be swept downstream when cfs goes above 4000 cfs. Then be cautious in rapid downstream.
