| There is a big tree across the river, about 1/2 mile above the Covered Bridge. The tree is down from the right bank and spans 3/4 of the way across the river. At high water, the river pushes into the tree strongly. If you are a strong boater, you can get around it on the left. If you are a weak boater or flip, the current will push you into the tree.
