Lorraine of Tributary Whitewater Tours writes: "Noah at ELDC has secured 5 hrs of flows on Wed July 4".  Thank you for passing this on, Lorraine.

I don't know yet whether the release is from 7am to noon (like an extended release Saturday), or 8am to 1pm (like an extended release Sunday). When I get confirmation, I'll post here and also update the schedule.

SMUD's exact wording was "We’ll be providing water for rafting on July 4th.  The daily strategy for next Wednesday has been updated to resemble a weekend day."

This still doesn't tell us what kind of weekend day (like a Saturday or like a Sunday) so as a compromise I've updated the Chili Bar release schedule to show the special release as being from 8am to noon.

SMUD shared their predictions of expected average inflow to Chili Bar for this coming week as follows:

ThuJul 51318 AF
FriJul 61316 AF
SatJul 71314 AF
SunJul 81114 AF
MonJul 91310 AF
TueJul 101309 AF
WedJul 111307 AF
ThuJul 121305 AF

Divide by 2 to get an idea of the daily average in CFS, e.g. the proposed Saturday average flow is about 650 cfs.  Note these are only the average flows; expect fluctuations, sometimes big ones.  Note also that this is what SMUD expect to release, based on their calculations ... depending on all sorts of factors (such as weather), it could be more, or less.  However, barring emergencies, you can confidently count on at least the scheduled releases.
