In the past couple of years, there has been a lot of swimming and flipping action in 'Chezo's Hole'. It's the last rapid on the left wall before the bridge and can be seen somewhat from the road. The rapid is just off a large gravel bar, and the hole is at the bottom and hard to miss. Kayaks fare better getting by. Below it, there is a log breach off the wall that caused trouble for a swimmer lately. I had one of the longest swims of my life and a boat (cat) surf there this year, along with another raft caught at the same time, and the 3rd raft flipping too. Our kayak made it through. It warrants a safety setup, especially for rafts. However, the rest of this section has about 6 really big class 4+ rapids that are fun drops. I'm surprised that more boaters don't come here, especially with the easy shuttle and put-in & out access. Bubba
