Hi River Folks,

The cool weather has halted the snowmelt of what is left in the high country as a result, flows are tapering quickly. We anticipate releases from Hetchy and Eleanor to continue to taper as they are both kept near capacity. In addition, operations at HPH is tapered over the upcoming weekend. Flows in the early hours below HPH will be at the lower levels and increase late in the day. The forecasted flows below the facilities should result in the flows at the Tuolumne-Cherry Creek confluence to be below 2000 cfs for Saturday and Sunday. Please be aware that a majority of the flow is from the mainstem of the Tuolumne. We will be scheduling a release during  7 am to 11 am on Sunday and Monday to ensure flows below the facilities are at 1100 cfs during the recreational hours as we anticipate the uptick in flows to be delayed until the real warming begins the next Monday and as the remaining snowpack is at the highest elevations.

Enjoy the river this weekend!
