Hi Folks,

Summer has arrived in the Tuolumne basin, bringing high temperatures and increased snowmelt. Increased inflows to Hetchy will require increased releases from the dam to control elevation and limit future flood peaks. We are at 500 cfs right now (morning of June 2). We are planning on increasing releases from the dam to 700-800 cfs today, 1,000 cfs tomorrow, and likely 1,200 cfs Saturday, and possibly 1,500 Sunday or sometime next week. The final 2 moves will depend on how strong the inflows end up.

We are currently releasing ~200 cfs from valves at Lake Eleanor. We expect Lake Eleanor to fill and spill this weekend, resulting in a bit more water in Eleanor Creek.

The National Weather Service has hot weather and a slight chance of showers over the weekend. We know these events can be highly localized but can increase flows quickly.

Happy boating!
