any news on release saturday-sunday?

Nothing since the post of Sept 16.  I will post immediately if I hear more.  So, unless we hear further, assume releases will happen tomorrow and Sunday, but be sure to check back later tonight for Saturday, and tomorrow for Sunday, in case there's any change.

Based on the King Fire map - see http://yubanet.com/nevada/King.php - my take is that releases will happen, however this is a frisky fire, so things could certainly change.  Also, I'd be concerned about air quality.

Can anyone speak to the air quality in and around Coloma this weekend? Thinking of heading there Sunday, but would love to know if it's going to be super smokey and make alternative plans.

SMUD shared their predictions of expected average inflow to Chili Bar for this coming week as follows:

TueSep 23327 AF
WedSep 24327 AF
ThuSep 25327 AF
FriSep 26327 AF
SatSep 27834 AF
SunSep 28834 AF
MonSep 29327 AF
TueSep 30327 AF

Divide by 2 to get an idea of the daily average in CFS, e.g. the proposed Saturday average flow is about 420 cfs.  Note these are only the average flows; expect fluctuations, sometimes big ones.  Note also that this is what SMUD expect to release, based on their calculations ... depending on all sorts of factors (such as weather), it could be more, or less.  However, barring emergencies, you can confidently count on at least the scheduled releases.
