Below is an updated release projection from HHWP facilities through June 5. An additional update will be provided later in the week.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.

Powerhouse generation has been reduced in response to receding reservoir inflows. Intraday powerhouse cycling will continue this week, with pulses occurring between 07:00-11:00 at Holm Powerhouse to sustain recreational flows on the Tuolumne. Spill from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir will continue to vary with natural inflows throughout the week.

 

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are approximately 200 cfs
• Spillway flow fluctuating, 25 – 250 cfs

 

• Kirkwood Powerhouse

• 00:00 – 10:00: spill 250 cfs
• 10:00 – 15:00: spill 0 cfs
• 15:00 – 00:00: spill 250 cfs

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Flows immediately below Cherry are approximately 6 cfs

• Holm Powerhouse
• 00:00 – 07:00: 180
• 07:00 – 11:00: 950 cfs
• 11:00 – 16:00: 180 cfs
• 16:00-21:00: 600 cfs
• 21:00-24:00: 180 cfs

 

Lake Eleanor

• Flows immediately below Eleanor are approximately 25 cfs
