Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through May 20. An additional update will be provided next week. Expect releases to remain elevated and fluctuate with natural inflows over the next 10 days.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.

Intraday powerhouse cycling is expected to continue, following similar patterns. Warm, dry conditions will result in continued snowmelt over the next 10 days. Spill from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is expected to steadily increase over the next several days.

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are 1,600 cfs

Wednesday, May 13 – Thursday, May 14 : 1,600 cfs
Friday, May 15 – Wednesday, May 20: valve release 1,000 – 1, 600 cfs

Spillway flow fluctuating from 100 – 1,000 cfs

Kirkwood Powerhouse

Cherry Reservoir

Flows immediately below Cherry are approximately 140 cfs
