Below are planned releases from HHWP facilities through May 9.

We strive to keep the user community updated on projected flows on the Tuolumne River.

 

A sharp cooldown over the weekend will mute snowmelt runoff and unregulated streamflows. Runoff will increase again next week as temperatures trend warmer, melting additional snow.

 

Valve releases from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir will likely increase during the middle of May. Our current best estimate for the timing of valve increases is during May 10-15, 1-2 weeks later than previously estimated.

 

Intraday powerhouse cycling is expected to continue. See details below.

 

Stated flow rates are best estimates and are subject to change as conditions and operational constraints evolve.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Flows immediately below Hetch Hetchy are approximately 410 cfs
• Note: Releases are subject to increase within the next 2-3 weeks. Additional notifications will follow as flows below Hetch Hetchy change.
