Note: Valve releases from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir to decrease this week, with reservoir spill anticipated during the weekend. Once Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is spilling, flows will be highly variable, during the day, and throughout the next couple weeks. Spill is expected to continue through mid-June.

 

Summary: flows at the Cherry-Tuolumne Confluence will range from approximately 1,200-1,900 cfs during the 07:00-11:00 period.

 

Hetch Hetchy Reservoir

• Valve releases to decrease this week and weekend per the following schedule
• May 25, 1,000 cfs
• May 26, 750 cfs
• May 27, 600 cfs
• May 28, 450 cfs
• May 29, 350-450 cfs
• Reservoir spill is anticipated to begin between Saturday, May 27 and May 31.
• Spill rates will be variable, between 150-450 cfs, in addition to valve releases

 

Cherry Reservoir

• Valve releases 7 cfs
• Holm Powerhouse
• 0 cfs during outage today through Thursday, May 26 24:00
• Starting Friday May 27
• Powerhouse releases of approximately 550 cfs 07:00-11:00
• Powerhouse releases will be high (~950 cfs) 18:00-07:00
• Powerhouse releases will be low (~25-50 cfs) 11:00-18:00

 

Lake Eleanor

• Valve releases 20 cfs
• Reservoir spill will be variable from approximately 50-250 cfs for the weekend, tapering off into next week
