Update on 2008's log warning:

The potentially dangerous log blocking the usual left line of the first big rapid on the NF Salmon River gorge run is still there. This rapid is sometimes called the Nine Mile Rapid or Boulder Gulch Rapid (or Mary's Hole).

There is also a new piece of large wood just downstream of this, blocking the left hand channel on the normal line in fast water. This one could be more of a problem. Scout first.

This photo was taken at low water on 12/23/09.
