This Bureau of Reclamation article gives details on increased flows below Lewiston Dam from mid-August to almost the end of September.

Originally, the plan was to ramp the release from Lewiston Dam up from the current 450 cfs to 1000 cfs tomorrow.  Now, the plan is to ramp the release up to only 750 cfs (still tomorrow).

I expect that the release schedule is a work in progress, so check back for the latest scoop if you're planning on running the Trinity in the next six weeks or so. Clues as to what's planned can be seen in general on the Trinity schedule page, and in more detail on the Fantasy Flows page (click on the graph link for currently-projected future flows).

The latest? The Bureau of Reclamation sent out a change order (information copied to Dreamflows, thank you) saying that the flows are being ramped back down to 450 cfs today. The reason: "Temporary Restraining Order".

How many more times will this flow release be managed behind closed doors and who is being arrested here? The Bureau of Reclamation?
Who is arresting them....The Central Valley Project?
This release has been a biannual salvation for area boaters since 2003. The last two Hoopa Valley Tribal boat dance releases, two and four years ago, resulted in peak flows of 2,400 cfs. This is a regular release in observance of the Tribal ceremony, yet two weeks ago there was still no mention of it, not being placed on the BOR flow schedule. Now a separate release due to fish flows is in Jeapordy. It seems there is a serious lack of reporting with regard to Trinity water, for obvious reasons. Thanks Chris for your efforts to obtain the unobtainable flow schedule, keep us posted.
